Chris Wilsdon - Asset Management
Chris has a long track record in the financial / property environment. He spent 24 years with Building Societies, latterly at the National & Provincial Building Society which eventually merged with Abbey National. During this time his experience included the branch retail division, mortgage underwriting, commercial lending and asset optimisation.
Following on from this, Chris spent 4 years with a national property auction company with specific responsibility for the North of England operations.
Chris joined ARIM in the latter part of 2001, initially with specific responsibility for the “work out” of a former BES residential portfolio comprising in excess of 2000 properties. The plan was to sell down the portfolio over a three year horizon whilst at the same time maximising rental income and capital receipts. This was achieved within timescale and the overall financial outcome was significantly ahead of target.
An asset management approach was taken to maximise rental income from performing assets whilst devising optimum disposal routes for non-performing, low yielding or repair liability cases.
Currently, amongst other things, Chris is working with an institutional client who holds in excess of 600 properties. Whilst the long term goal is to dispose of the holding, the current focus is on maximising net rental revenue.
