Lesley Ireland - Arrears Team Manager
Over a span of 18 years, Lesley joined and left the Alliance & Leicester Building Society 3 times - first joining in February 1978 and leaving 18 months’ later to have a child; returning some two years’ later and being made redundant 14 ½ years’ later and then re-joining only 3 months later leaving finally 18 months’ later. The first 18 months were spent in their Advances Department as an audio typist; the second stint again as audio typist but moving onto the Treasuers’ Department for 12 years responsibile for the cash ordering and local banking arrangements for the Society’s branch network but being made redundant following the migration of the office to Oadby in Leicestershire; and then Lesley was head hunted for the third (and final) stint to assist with the data clean up exercise and flotation of the building society to bank in the summer of 1997.
Lesley then moved onto a small family firm of Solicitors as a paralegal dealing with mortgage repossessions on behalf of one of the top 6 banks. Unfortunately, that unit closed a year later and Lesley was again made redundant.
In August 1998 Lesley joined ARIM (then known as Osprey Property Management) as a Property Manager but moved into the arrears management team in March 2003 when ARIM joined with Home Rent. Two years’ later, Lesley was appointed the Arrears Team Leader.
Lesley has achieved a Merit in BTEC Business and Finance; a Merit in ARLA 1; a pass in ARLA 2 and has completed various in-house training modules.
